ITALY is Now open for American travelers to visit without quarantine when taking a COVID tested flight.

It is official, you too and travel in Italy and avoid the quarantine, only when you arrived on a COVID tested flight. Daily the rules are changing and expanding to allow vacation travelers from countries in specific categories to travel into Italy. Consult the Italian Embassy in Washington DC for the specifics.

US Citizens are now allowed to enter Italy if you arrived on a COVID Tested flight without the need to quarantine. What does that mean? Means you need to present a few negative tests prior to entering. Governments are working diligently to facilitate entry to those who have tested negatively.

Here are the current rules and processes, Check with your airlines for updated information and when booking, ask for a COVID tested flight. Not all flights are COVID tested. All of your tests must be negative.

Complete a passenger locator form and submit it on line to the Italian government, and print a copy. Take a COVID-19 RAPID test 36-48 hours prior to flight time. It is also required for you test at your departure airport, the before you check in. Upon arrival in Italy also take a Covid test.

As of this writing, though EU is working on a Green pass for their citizens, for USA travelers there is no way sanctioned at this time to monitor validity of vaccines.

The current departure airport list in USA expands daily. As per the information on the Italian Embassy website, the following airports are or will be able to test you: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, LA, Miami, NY, Philadelphia and Washington DC. The entry cities in italy are : Rome ( FCO,) Milano ( MXP) and will include Napoli ( NAP) and Venezia ( VCE).
